This website has been created to help you respond to the ongoing Public Consultation (PC) for the DHSC’s proposed Water Fluoridation (PCWF) programme for the North-East of England. By logically working through the 9-step process outlined below, you should be able to make a decent fist of completing the online PCWF questionnaire, which, in our view, has been made deliberately difficult for members of the public (for example, it immediately disadvantages – and effectively excludes – those who do not have access to a computer).
It’s extremely important that we get as many cogent and well-written responses as possible to the PCWF as part of our opposition to the Government’s unreasonable – and potentially very harmful – WF proposal. So, once you have completed the 9-step process, please share this page with your family and friends. Anyone can respond to the PCWF, regardless of whether or not they live in the affected area, as long as they do so by the deadline of 31st July 2024.

9-Step Process
- Begin with our “1. Read This First” page, which outlines what the PCWF is all about and how you go about responding to it.
- Read the DHSC’s Consultation Description for the PCWF, which includes an overview of the questions you will be required to answer. This provides an indication of how much you can prepare in advance.
- Read our Commentary on the Questionnaire, which provides advice, hints, and tips on how to respond to each section.
- Read the 19 objections against WF on the Flyer that has been produced specifically to alert people to this PCWF.
- Read the References/Citations for the 19 Objections Against Fluoridation, which will help you to provide evidence for any objections you might wish to make in your response. At this stage, also compose the longer optional text file which can be uploaded into the online questionnaire in Step 8.
- Read the ‘Rules of the Consultation’, which provides some general guidance on how to address the online questionnaire.
- Read the contents of Boxes 7a – 7j, which contain Background/Supporting information. Ideal for those who want to explore the issue in more detail. There is even more WF information on www.ukfffa.org.uk and on www.fluoridealert.org. We also have a Facebook Page and a Telegram channel.
- COMPLETE THE ONLINE QUESTIONNAIRE (find a quiet space and allow ample time!).
- DONATE to our cause if you feel able to. It costs money to maintain this website, produce leaflets, and to spread the word to the wider public. Oh – and please learn our song!
